ROCKY ROAD
Sandy knew her luck was running out, Supervisor Ken started
passing pink slips to the unknown.
Why me? Co-workers asking people surrounding in the
break-room. Sandy was offered a marketing job in California but unfortunately,
she turned it down, had she taken this exciting position, Sandy wouldn’t be in
the predicament.
Roger, Sandy’s best workplace pal, received the sad news, he
was getting the boot. Roger saying, Oh, No!
What would I do now?
Others whispering, who else will see the popular color pink
circulation around the wicked office that will never be the same. Roger waiting
for the training in Washington, DC can’t take the hardship. He decides to end
this painful saga and leaps like a frog onto the train tracks and ends his
life. The emergency medical response team rushes to this man’s aid and he
resides at Sallie Mae Hospital.
Roger is a rather large man seven feet tall; can you imagine
him jumping off the platform?
His wife Laura is grateful the doctors breathes life back in
to his soul. Yet, giving him a second chance to be with family, friends, and
prosper. Sandy visits Roger in the hospital and they are closer than ever and
always discuss life’s issues that can be revolved.
Medical bills are piling up for Roger; he is felling sad and
is worrying, how will he make payments? Sandy is telling him everything will
fall into place. Sandy says we can put together a Roger’s fund party for
medical and rent purposes like they used to do in the 1960s. This will be fun
and we get to see our co-workers, family and friends all in one place without
traveling thousands of miles.
Sandy couldn’t believe that Roger would do such a thing,
trying to end his life. He is always the one at work giving people sound advice
and setting good examples for the rest of us. It’s time for Sandy to go and
plan a life party and make it memorable. She gives Roger and his wife a hug and
a big kiss on the cheek and tells them they will talk very soon.
Forwarding to the far future the party turned a success and
bills were paid on time. Roger thanking Sandy all the time, she stating it was
nothing serious, this is what friends are for and why friendship is priceless.
Sandy started a pet-grooming business in Virginia and is
very successful. Inspiration and determination are two
key factors of a crisis and a positive outcome that is
rewarding.
